Scope

This policy describes Calculator Vault, its iOS app, and this website. Calculator Vault is designed as a local photo vault hidden behind a working calculator interface.

The current app does not require an account and does not operate a developer-controlled backend for your photos or calculator code.

Data handled on your device

Photos you choose are copied into the app’s private storage on your device. Selecting a photo does not remove its original from your Photos library. Photos taken from inside the app are copied directly into the vault.

Your calculator code is not stored as plain text. The app stores a salted hash of the code using the operating system’s secure storage.

Permissions

Calculator Vault asks for access only when you choose a feature that needs it.

• Photos access lets you select images to copy into the vault.
• Camera access lets you take a photo to copy into the vault.
• Screen-capture protection is enabled while the vault is open to reduce exposure in screenshots, recordings, and app-switcher previews.

App data collection

The iOS app does not send us your photos, calculator entries, calculator code, device identifiers, contacts, location, or usage history. It contains no advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK, or cross-app tracking.

We do not sell personal information because the app does not provide us with personal information to sell.

Website hosting

This website does not use analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or non-essential cookies. It is hosted through Expo Application Services. Expo and its infrastructure providers may process standard technical request information, such as an IP address, browser user agent, requested page, and request time, to deliver and secure the website.

We do not use that technical information to build visitor profiles or combine it with data from the iOS app.

Backups and device services

Although the app has no developer-controlled cloud storage, your operating system or backup provider may include app data in device backups depending on your settings. We cannot access or control those backups.

The operating system may also retain secure-storage records according to its own lifecycle and backup rules.

Security and limitations

Vault files rely on the iPhone app sandbox and the security of your device. The current version does not add a second layer of file encryption to each photo. The calculator code controls access inside the app; it should not be treated as protection against a compromised or unlocked device.

No software can guarantee absolute security. Keep a separate backup of photos you cannot afford to lose.

Retention and deletion

Private photo copies remain on your device until you delete them from the vault or remove the app. Deleting a vault copy cannot be undone from inside Calculator Vault.

Deleting the app may delete every photo stored in its vault. Device backups or operating-system secure storage may retain data according to settings controlled by you and the platform provider.

Children

Calculator Vault is not directed toward collecting information from children. Because the app does not transmit personal information to us, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.

Policy changes

If the app’s data practices change, this policy will be updated before those changes are released. The effective date at the top of the page identifies the current version.
